Air Quality is Important

Armstrong Construction believes air quality is important.Air quality is an important issue in the construction industry, and ACC takes it seriously. In order to maintain standards set for by the Air Pollution Control Bureau of the New Mexico Environment Department, ACC not only pre-tests and conducts initial compliance tests for particulate matter in accordance to specific testing methods, but keeps records and monitors the hours and days of operation, production rates, and the frequency of the application of water to control the amount of pollution that enters the air.

Air quality permits are issued by the Air Pollution Control Bureau of the New Mexico Environment, pursuant to the Air Quality Control Act and Regulations. The environment department reviews the permit application and air quality analysis to determine if the provisions of the act and air quality standards will be met. Based on the control measures described in the application and the conditions of the permit, the department determines ambient air quality standards will be met and issues a permit. This permit provides authorization to crush so many tons of sand and rock per hour. Air quality is important to Armstrong Construction.
