Good Policies Promote Safe Environments
ACC has a responsibility to provide the highest level of
safety attainable by the company. All employees of ACC share in this responsibility. The company recognizes that the status of an employee’s health affects his/her performance and safety. ACC also recognizes and acknowledges that drug and alcohol abuse rank as one of the major health problems in both the workplace and society as a whole. ACC further finds and strongly believes that the use and/or possession of illegal drugs, alcohol, and the overall abuse of controlled substances in the workplace results in a lack of performance, and creates a safety hazard. The abuse of any mind-altering substance is totally unacceptable, and conflicts with all aspects of maintaining an efficient, proper, and honest company atmosphere.
Highlights of our drug and alcohol policy are:
100 percent of ACC employees are screened for drugs
each year.
This is accomplished by requiring all employees
on a specific job or location to be tested on a certain day.
The company, at its sole discretion, may take into custody
any illegal, unauthorized, or prohibited items and turn them
over to the proper law enforcement agency.
A drug screen method of analyzing a urine specimen at
the point of collection is used.
Some customers require all employees working on their
site to be drug tested within the past six months. For this
reason, employees may be subject to pre-access testing
before entering the job site of specified customers.
ACC is committed to a drug-free workplace. The wide-spread acceptence of this drug policy continues to provide employees, as well as the general public, with a better, safer working environment.
